Welcome to Journey's End!

Nestled directly on Mobile Bay, this private home offers breathtaking views, day and night. Situated in the Bay to Breakers community, you'll enjoy access to a swimming pool and deeded beach access, making your toughest decision which fun activity to try first.

When you arrive at Journey’s End, your journey may conclude, but your vacation is just beginning! This stunning 4-bedroom, 3-level home with an observatory is perfectly located on Mobile Bay and just a short 5-minute walk to the Gulf of Mexico. As part of Bay to Breakers, guests also have access to a community pool and a nearby public pier for fishing. A marina, just a quarter mile away, offers docking privileges, a restaurant, and dolphin tours. With so much to do nearby, you might not want to leave! However, if you choose to explore, the historic Fort Morgan is only 1.5 miles down the road, along with the ferry to Dauphin Island. The city of Gulf Shores is a scenic 25-minute drive away.

The Space
This home was thoughtfully updated in 2021 with new flooring, drywall, windows, siding, furnishings, and interior/exterior paint. It features a spacious living room with a 65" flat-screen TV and Blu-ray player, while the second-floor landing offers a cozy daybed with a trundle and a 40" flat-screen TV with Roku. To keep everyone entertained, the owners have provided a collection of games, puzzles, coloring books, and art supplies.

The home’s en-suite bedroom layout ensures that each bedroom has its own bathroom, offering privacy and convenience for multi-family vacations. Three of the four bedrooms have TVs, and the first-floor main bedroom also includes a DVD player.

The main living area is warm and inviting, with a newly painted kitchen equipped with everything you need to prepare meals. The kitchen features updated appliances, including a new refrigerator and dishwasher, plus extras like a spice collection, blender, milkshake maker, and hand mixer. Meals can be enjoyed in the dining area or on the expansive screened-in porch, a favorite spot for guests. This serene space is perfect for reading or sipping cocktails while soaking in the gorgeous views.

As a special highlight, the top-floor observatory offers built-in benches and a 360-degree panoramic view of Fort Morgan. It’s an ideal spot for sunset cocktails, marine life spotting with the telescope, or simply relaxing with a good book.

The owners have spared no effort in creating a warm and comfortable retreat at Journey's End.

We love to stay at Journey's End. It is a beautiful property on the bay. We enjoy watching the boats from the lovely back porch. We love seeing the changes from visit to visit. The house is very comfortable and relaxing. This time we needed to contact the property management and they were very professional and helpful. Already missing staying there and looking forward to when we can come back!

This is our third year our family has stayed at Journeys End on the bay. As before cannot beat the location. It is secluded and peaceful. We see more marine and wildlife here then you would staying on the beach.
Can’t beat the sunsets. House is super nice with lots of space. Would recommend to anyone.

The home was perfect. Very relaxing and private area. We watched the dolphins come into the pier area every morning and evening from the large screened in porch.

I could spend a lot of time writing about how beautiful this house is. I could go on about how fun it was to watch dolphins from the deck. I could say how everything was perfect from the bamboo to the beach grass. But gibberish this house has to be experienced. The peace that this house brought to my soul was incredible.

My family and I really loved Journey's End.

Pros:

Private location where you could enjoy the bay with a coffee in the morning or wine at night. The screened in porch is quite nice and we made good use of it.

Its a fun house for kids as it has a 3rd floor observatory where you can be at the same height as all the pelicans and seagulls. It also came with a variety of board games, books and movies. My wife and I also enjoyed a morning coffee watching the sunrise in the observatory.

The house inside is clean and well maintained. It is also nicely decorated for that traditional beach feel.

Cons:

The property needs a good amount of "yardwork". There was plenty of overgrown vegetation coming down the driveway and all around the house. It limits the amount of useable space for walking around or having a play area for kids.

It was also a downside to not have the dock available. To my knowledge it was damaged by a hurricane nearly 2 years ago. It would have been so much more valuable to have that available for fishing off the dock or just sitting out there to watch the sunset.

Minor things could be improved such as neatly organizing pots, pans, utensils etc in the kitchen cabinets. Some of the kitchen drawers were also hard to open and close.

Overall its a fantastic house that was nicely decorated, private, fun for kids and enjoyable for parents.

I don’t even know where to begin!! This house is absolutely perfect in Every way!! It accommodated 20 of us (6 adults and 4 teenagers) perfectly! Plenty of space, comfortable beds, great couch and sitting area for several to comfortably sit and watch a movie. The screened in porch was one of the best features!! THE VIEWS!! All day long we had beautiful views of the bay. The house is secluded and quiet! Just want we wanted! We fished, kayaked and swan right beside of the house. The beach was easy to get to. A golf cart would be great to use but we just drove over and dropped off. The most relaxing vacation we have ever been on!! If all of the above is what you are looking for, Book it!! You will NOT be disappointed!!

We had the perfect vacation! First time staying in Fort Morgan and we couldn’t have enjoyed it anymore more! The house was in the perfect location on the bay and secluded. We sat out on the screened in porch every morning enjoying our coffee and at night listening to the waves and frogs. The house was very clean and had all the amenities we needed for our family. We definitely will be back and hoping that the pier next to the house will be rebuilt soon we love to fish!! Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable!

This home is absolutely beautiful. The decor is spot on beach or coastal living. Everything in it from the couches to the beds is very nice and comfortable. It may no be directly on the beach but a two min drive and ten min walk will get you there. Same goes for the pool. There was plenty of cooking pans pots plates and utensils to cook just about anything you want. Screened in back porch was great in alabama don’t have to fight off flys or mosquitos alabamas state bird. The house sets on the bay and is actually very nice. There is a marina about a quarter of a mile west where you can get ice dinner and a few drinks. You can also charter a fishing trip. We will definitely be staying here again next year. Save your self some money and book directly from Coastal view vacation rentals. Very friendly and nice people to work with.
