About

Diamondmine is not on a beachfront lot but it is located directly on the sand with no streets to cross. There is a walking easement from the house to the water. Two homes, All In and All in Too sit on either side but Diamondmine does have great Gulf views. Please refer to the aerial shot to view the exact location.

Highlights

Diamondmine is a 7 bedroom (4 king-sized beds!), 6 bath home that sits directly on the sand! No streets to cross to get to the beach and you'll love the convenience of being able to return to the house if you need to replenish supplies or just take a break from the sun. This custom home is well designed and beautifully decorated and you'll quickly fall in love with your new "home away from home". Guests love that the home is spacious and very well appointed, and they appreciate that the beach is sparsely populated. Pro-Tip: No need to use the neighborhood beach access boardwalks. There is a walking easement that will take you directly to the water!

The Space

The owner really has thought of everything. When you enter from the deck, you'll find a handy ""mudroom"" unit. Perfect for beach towels, hats, bags and sunglasses. Everything will be readily available for the next trek to the beach.

Hard surface flooring makes it easy to keep the sand under control and you'll find loads of seating for mealtime. Counter seater, bar seating and a custom-made dining table. All featuring contemporary silver chairs.

The kitchen will please the chefs in the group with gorgeous quartz countertops, huge refrigerators, 2 microwaves and even 2 dishwashers that will make entertaining a large group seem effortless. Bonus! There is even a separate ice maker!

Feel free to dine al fresco at the picnic table located on the deck.

Diamondmine has 3 Master King Suites with view, 1 King with view, 1 Guest Queen, and two bunk rooms. In addition, there is a hallway TV seating area for kids. There are 9 flat screen TVs mounted collectively on the walls of Diamondmine.

The owner has purchased the two oceanfront lots in front of Diamondmine to protect the beautiful views from this outstanding home. Two narrow homes, flanking far left and far right, are currently being constructed. Guests at Diamondmine will continue to enjoy the awesome views. We are excited about this news and so pleased that the spectacular view will be preserved forever. Continue to check back for updated photos.

For your safety and protection, this home is equipped with 2 two exterior cameras underneath the house.

Fort Morgan and Morgantown

Morgantown is a lovely, unique seaside community featuring two swimming pools, a kiddie pool, two lighted tennis/pickleball courts and several beach access boardwalks. When you first arrive, you'll notice pride of ownership in this pastel colored, beautifully landscape neighborhood. Guests really enjoy walking and biking along the quiet streets and many rent golf carts and enjoy sunset drives. Diamondmine is pet friendly and so are the Morgantown beaches so the whole family can join in the fun!

Located a scenic 15 miles from Gulf Shores, you'll find everything you need close at hand. Dollar General and Sassy Bass Market are just a few miles away and have all the basics you might need. There are several restaurants nearby offering a variety of tasty dishes. Tacky Jack's, Sassy Bass (2 locations), Coast and brand-new Jesse's to name a few. Some venues even offer live, local entertainment.

Fort Morgan fishing pier is now open, and anglers will have access to convenient inshore fishing and the abundant species locally available.

Wonderful Family Thanksgiving at the Beach

We planned our big family Thanksgiving vacay early this year for some time in the mountains, not the beach. Hurricane Helene tore through NC so our plans changed. We didn't see this home and booked place #2 in Destin. Three days before check-in, the home developed a major leak. We scrambled one more time and thankfully, this home was available and ... absolutely perfect. We had a lot of specific needs: 6 bedrooms with at least three primary bedrooms and one on the main level; pet friendly and room enough for 11 or 12. This house more than met our needs.

Although we didn't plan for a beach trip originally, this getaway to Fort Morgan was exactly what our big extended family needed and we're so grateful this wonderful home was available when we needed it. Everything from the layout, room configuration, comfy king beds, two large refrigerators, dishwashers, and microwaves, huge deck overlooking the ocean, easy-to-sweep floors (to keep sand from driving you crazy) ... everything ... was absolutely perfect for our big brood.

The property managers were wonderful, too. From us needing to add an extra pet at the literal last minute to texting with me as we checked in and on our first full day to give us the lay of the land with Blue Angels flights, they were so kind, professional, helpful and made our stay even better.

And yes, we had our own personal airshow as the Blue Angels practiced right in front of our home almost every day. We loved it!

Oh, the kitchen — in addition to the double fridges, dishwashers and microwaves, there are pots and pans, utensils, serving pieces, small appliances, etc. for anything you need to do in the kitchen. We cooked Thanksgiving dinner and a gazillion other meals in that kitchen and had all the tools we needed.

The weather was gorgeous during our week there so we spent days on the beach and nights watching movies, putting together puzzles and more.

We loved our stay at Diamond Mine!The house was perfect for our family. Beds were comfortable, plenty of space to hang out together, kitchen was well-equipped. I was happy with how clean it was - and I'm picky about that! Loved the front porch for the rainy days. We could still enjoy watching the waves and the sounds of the ocean. It was a very short, easy walk to the beach. Not technically beachfront, but very close! Management company was awesome! We had a problem with the icemaker and they responded immediately and had a repair man there the same morning. Any questions I had were answered very quickly. I would not hesitate to stay here again when we make it back to Fort Morgan. The beach was beautiful and not crowded at all at this time of year. The whole area was very nice.

This was our first stay at a Gulf Shores location in the Fall.
It was wonderful: the house was clean and an easy walk to the beach. The beach was not crowded like it is in the summer months.Traffic around the area was minimal. Hope to take future vacations in the Fall and stay at the same wonderful property.

This was the perfect place for my family and friends to get away and relax! There was plenty of room and we spent hours on the deck drinking coffee, eating, visiting and enjoying the view! Location was great and easy to get to. We had everything we needed in the kitchen and cooked several meals. It was nice having two fridges and two fish washers. This place has a lot to offer! You won’t be sorry for staying here!

This home is gorgeous and the location is perfect! Everything was clean and the management company was wonderful! Great communication and anytime we had a question it was answered immediately. We’ve been coming to this area for the past 7/8 years and this was by far the best one! We had a small group- 3 adults, but this home is huge and would be perfect for a large family. The beach is steps away, and the large porch facing the beach was our favorite spot to be. The area was quiet and relaxing. I cannot say enough how perfect this place is! We will definitely be return customers! Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!

We had a great experience with our large family. Excellent layout for large families with great beach access. Plenty of covered parking. There is new construction in front of the property that you need to be cautious around especially wear shoes when walking outside. Our only issue was the deadbolt was locked upon arrival so we could not get in but the manager was very quick to respond.

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Diamondmine. The rental was spacious and open enough for our family to constantly interact during the Christmas weekend. The view of the Gulf water was outstanding, the kitchen had everything you needed to prepare and store meals and the bedrooms were so nice. The floors were a little dirty/sandy, only one motion light worked at night going up and down the steps during our stay, a few other minor things that were addressed & other than that a great stay. Would definitely rent this house again.

This was our first time vacationing in Fort Morgan and we had a wonderful family vacation at Diamondmine. The house was great for our multi-generational family- the house is laid out wonderfully so each of the five families had their space too. The view of the beach from the king bedrooms & deck is amazing. The two bunk rooms are large and worked well - older grandkids in one and the younger grandkids in the other. The kitchen is well stocked - we do most of our own cooking on vacation so really appreciated the kitchen. The beach is just a short walk away - even for the younger kids. The beach is very family friendly and not crowded which is very nice! The pool access is great too for a change from the beach when needed. Dee, the property manager, is wonderful and quick to respond if you need anything. We enjoyed meeting her. There are things to see in the area too - watch the Blue Angels practice, saw alot of dolphins, & visited the fort. The house is close to grocery stores or anything you may need. Great location! Thank you for a wonderful vacation!

Overall our experience was great. This house accommodates up to 26 and we had 20 planned to attend so there was plenty of room with enough places to sit and eat meals. The two bunkrooms were a great feature as assigned one for the young girls and boys in the group. With this large of a group we didn't feel like we were cramped for space. The house is 100 yards from the beach which was not crowded. Recently we we stayed at the Grayton Beach/ Seaside area in FLA but opted for Fort Morgan as there is a lot less congestion and beach crowding. Kitchen was very well appointed with plenty of storage for dry goods. Will definitely consider this house for the future as the Property Manager was great. The deck needs more lounge chairs which I think is being resolved.

Diamondmine was a beautiful spacious home that was well maintained but for a few outdoor chairs that were failing but we had brought our own. I am sure they have replaced them for future guests.
All of my adult children and my grandchildren had their own beautiful rooms with beautiful views of the gulf! The gulf water was warm. There were a few jellyfish we had to watch out for but the kids were amazed at all the sea life.
Fort Morgan is off the beaten path. No crowds, a private beach!! 2 pools were available and the grands sure enjoyed them! We brought tennis rackets but somehow felt a little lazy to play on the beautiful lit courts.
The family is bugging me already to book for next summer. We all had a great time!!

From the beginning there was great communication with the rental company who were very accomodating. The view from the deck and bedroom windows was breathtaking. It had everything we need to 4 families to have an awesome weekend getaway.

This is an amazing rental! The house was very clean, great furnishings, larger than expected, and the beds were more comfortable than a 5 star hotel. It was so peaceful waking up to the sunrise over the ocean and hearing the waves from my large bedroom window. The house is on the beach but set back slightly, felt very private. Our host was super nice and helpful - she even provided her personal cell phone number in case I had any questions or concerns. When I mentioned a possible issue, she had sent a repairman that day. Overall, we had a great vacation and I will definitely be back!
