Welcome to Fair Winds! Fair Winds is a custom, newly constructed (2020), 5-bedroom home in Morgantown that really does have everything you'll want in a beach vacation home. This home has a wraparound deck on both the upper and lower levels that provide tons of outdoor living space as well as amazing views of both the Gulf and the famous Alabama sunsets. The lower deck even has a gate to keep the little ones safe and sound. The beach access boardwalk is just across the street so getting your group to and from will be a breeze. You'll find upgraded Polywood deck furniture on both levels, so you'll be comfortable dining al fresco or just relaxing and enjoying the views. Step inside and you'll be wowed by the upgraded finishes and the open floor plan. Large, round dining table with additional bar seating and a spacious and comfortable living room provide the ideal spaces for hanging out after a fun day. Three of the bedrooms feature private en suite baths and there is even a second living space with deck access on the upper level so larger groups can spread out. Guests really appreciate the second beverage fridge as well as the enclosed hot water outdoor shower. Pro Tip: Set your watches for sunset and head to the upper deck to experience the best views!

The Space

The owners have spared no expense in making this home an ideal vacation destination. They really have thought of everything - from granite counter tops to luxury plank flooring throughout the home - your stay here will be relaxing and easy.

The first level also features a primary bedroom with king bed and private bath as well as a spacious laundry room with the always popular second refrigerator! A built-in bench with cubby storage in the entry is the perfect place to store your keys and beach hats.

Upstairs, you'll find 4 additional bedrooms – no sofa beds here. Two have king beds with en suite baths. There is room for all in the two additional bedrooms; one sports 2 twin-over-twin bunks and the other a twin-over-twin and twin-over-full. The bunk rooms share a hall bath with private tub area and double vanity. There is a pack and play available for guest use but please bring your own crib sheets.

Please note that while the owners love dogs, pets are not permitted at this property. No exceptions and this policy is strictly enforced.

For added security and peace of mind, this home is equipped with a video doorbell and outdoor security camera that monitor the exterior staircase. Free parking for up to 5 vehicles.

Fort Morgan and Morgantown

Morgantown is a lovely, unique seaside community featuring two swimming pools, a kiddie pool, two lighted tennis/pickleball courts and several beach access boardwalks. When you first arrive, you'll notice pride of ownership in this pastel colored, beautifully landscape neighborhood. Guests really enjoy walking and biking along the quiet streets and many rent golf carts and enjoy sunset drives. If you have small children or just prefer the convenience of parking close to the beach, there is a public lot just to the west of Morgantown.

Located a scenic 15 miles from Gulf Shores, you'll find everything you need close at hand. Dollar General and Sassy Bass Market are just a few miles away and have all the basics you might need. There are several restaurants nearby offering a variety of tasty dishes. Tacky Jack's, Sassy Bass (2 locations), Coast and brand-new Jesse's (opening soon) to name a few. Some venues even offer live, local entertainment.

Fort Morgan fishing pier is now open, and anglers will have access to convenient inshore fishing and the abundant species locally available.

Our vacation was awesome, easy booking and you can text if you have any questions also once you get there an agent will text and check on you. The house is beautiful close to beach access not far of a walk at all. We had a great time and will be back. This is second time we have rented from this rental company and we will continue.

Second year for our vacation with the family at Fairwinds. The house has everything we need is very comfortable and roomy. We had 11 people six adults five children and we had plenty a room without bumping into each other. There’s space for all of us even on both floors of the porches, everyone at Coastal View are so nice and the Communication with them you feel they are there for you . Linda, the property manager is just awesome. The person that owns his house fault of everything the family shouldn’t need. Thank you for letting us stay at your beautiful home.

This is our third year at Fair Winds and the family loves it. The layout fits our family of 9 just right. The property is always clean and neat. Linda, property manager, does a good job of keeping it that way. Jen is always helpful in getting our reservation in early. We love Fair Winds. This was our third visit. We love the location to the beach and the community pool. We had a great stay. Management mailed an item we left behind and was so thankful for their attention to detail.
One suggestion might be to bring an electric fan so you can enjoy the porches more. Gnats (no-see-ums), are a problem in ALL of lower Alabama!!

The kitchen is gorgeous , Big , roomy , organized and A huge island

We enjoyed our visit at Fair Winds, it was ideal for our family that included grandparents and 5 kids ages 9 to one. We appreciated the well stocked kitchen and short walk to the beach. Management was good about checking in on us during our stay.

Oh my goodness what a beautiful home. It was even better than the pictures. A huge well appointed kitchen with an enormous island was a crowd pleaser for sure. There’s a lot going on with eleven people preparing and eating various meals. Three couples enjoyed their beautiful bedrooms and large bathrooms. The shared bunk room bathroom had plenty of space to share also. The two family areas, decor, 2 fridges, fantastic laundry room and outdoor shower were all bonuses:) Our family loved the two balconies and dreck furniture ( my husband and I enjoyed it so much we bought a Pollywood set when we returned home). Accessibility to the boardwalk, beach and parking was the best yet and literally across the street from the house. To top it all off the customer service provided by Costal View Vacations was the best we have ever experienced in twenty five years of traveling to Gulf Shores and Fort Morgan area. From the very first contact with the office staff to meeting Jen on location was an absolute joy. I’d love to be Jen’s neighbor all year long. What a great person to represent your company, I felt like I had known her for years. My husband and I are thinking about becoming snowbirds and will certainly find the right fit with Costal View Vacations. A matter of fact Jen has already sent us a few possibilities:) Thanks for making the trip of a lifetime full of memories for our family. P.S. Best water pressure ever!

Fair Winds was perfect for our family’s annual beach trip. There were 12 of us from 10-72 years old. The house had enough room for everyone to spread out and be comfortable. The kitchen has a huge island and plenty of seating for meals. It was well stocked with large pots to cook fresh corn we got locally. The mattresses on the beds were very comfortable. The porch furniture is great and the outdoor shower was a game changer to keep the sand out of the house.
We loved the location, not right on the beach but not far at all. Beach access was very easy and so much closer than we thought it would be.
Linda the manager checked on us several times and was very nice and helpful.
We will definitely consider coming back to Fair Winds next year.

Our family from AL and TN had a fabulous time staying at Fair Winds! The we loved the way the house was decorated, the porches on both levels. The kitchen is well stocked. We also loved the extra siting area upstairs. We loved the Morgantown neighborhood and the closeness of the house to the boardwalk to the beach. Would definitely stay here again. The obit suggestion I would offer is a free standing ice maker would be nice. The fridge ice maker just didn’t make much, so we ended up buying several bags of ice during the week.

Fair Winds in Morgantown off Fort Morgan Road is in a wonderful location.
Located near the beach and close to both pools. The view from the porch is spectacular.

The house is large enough to accommodate a big big family with 5 bedrooms and 4.5 baths. The large open kitchen, dining & living area are very spacious. Our family, including granddaughters, enjoyed cooking in the kitchen with all the included amenities.

The property manager, Linda, is great. She checked with us regularly when she saw us to make sure we had everything we needed.

This is our second year to rent Fair Winds. This year we rented the house for 2 weeks. The second week my wife’s mom (85 yo), sisters & brother-in-law joined us. It was special to have 4 generations together. We love the house, close location to the beach and the also the pools. Having the option of either beach or pool is great for both the granddaughters and adults. The addition of the glider on the porch was special. It was a game changer for my mother-in-law to be able to sit and enjoy the sounds & beauty of the beach since she couldn’t be on the beach.

Many memories were made including our youngest son & his wife announcing that they will be having their first child in December.

The best way to describe it would be - the anticipation of us going back is like the anticipation of our granddaughters waiting for the ice cream truck.

We highly recommend Fair Winds in Morgantown and Coastal View Vacations!

I love everything about this house. My mother is a cancer patient and the downstairs bedroom was perfect for her. We had plenty amenities and everything we needed to for our stay..The beach was literally a few steps away from where we was staying. We felt as if we was on our own personal island...We had an issue with the air but it worked itself out.

This was our third year to stay in this home. We love the layout, and it is one of only a few that have two living areas. The home was well maintained and clean, and the only issue that we found last year (the refrigerator never seemed to cool) was fixed. Highly recommend!

We had a great time during the week of Thanksgiving. The home is a short walk to the ocean. Well stocked and clean. The host Linda was awesome. She kept in touch and made sure we had everything we needed. She even brought me an Amazon package that went to the neighborhood’s drop locker (fyi in case you order something). She also gave us a little gift. Heads up, the beds are new and very stiff by our standards. We needed a new mattress topper at home so we bought one at Bed Bath & Beyond and used it for the week. It was a game changer for me. We also rented bikes for the week which was fun. The land is flat so pedaling is easy. There are local stores nearby and plenty of good restaurants in town. We highly recommend this home for anyone looking for a great get away.
