The Highlights

Lotus Blossom is a spacious 4 bedroom, 3.5 bath gulf front home in beautiful Gulf Shores. If your goal is to be directly on the beach but you don't need all the extra frills, this home is the perfect fit for you. You'll be right in town so you can take advantage of all the great restaurants and shopping that Gulf Shores offers.

The Space

The open living area features a cathedral ceiling in the living room, an ample kitchen and seating for 8 at the breakfast bar and dining table. Outside, the large water front deck offers something for everyone. The sun worshippers can sit on the sunny side, while those who prefer the shade can sit under the cover of the balcony above. There is a Queen bedroom off the living area with a private bath. A half bath with washer and dryer completes this level.

Upstairs, the Queen Master has a private bath with double sinks and a private balcony with direct gulf front views. The third bedroom has a Double bed and the 4th has a Double bed as well as a set of Twin bunks. These last two bedrooms share a hall bath. In all, Lotus Blossom will comfortably accommodate up to 10 guests.

Gulf Shores

Lotus Blossom is just a few miles from numerous restaurants and shops, yet far enough away to be out of the hustle and bustle of the busy downtown area. It's an ideal spot for a family vacation and we'd love to share it with you!

You couldn't beat the location and access to the beach, that was fantastic. The layout of the house worked great for our family of 8. Having a washer and dryer was nice too.

The location is great, if you are going to spend all your time at the beach. The house is nice but would benefit greatly from some maintenance and modernization.

The Lotus Blossom is in the perfect location for a peaceful beach vacation. The beach is only a few steps away. The house was exactly what we expected and very clean. The host responded quickly to our questions and there are plently off attractions and great resturants close by. I would definitely recommend the Lotus Blossom to friends and family.

The property description is accurate, but I feel like some of the photos are misleading. The cover shot is from the community walkway next to the house. The master bedroom the furniture is pushed over to make the room look larger. The house is bare, very minimally stocked, not even a sponge or salt & pepper.

The house was clean, but the deck was sandy. When I swept it I found a raiser blade. This property is not well maintained, which reflects on the owner, not the management company. They seem very uninterested in the management companies suggestions. Aside from outdated decor, appliances & paint, the house needs some structural work. It sways in the wind & the metal brackets under the house are all rusted out.

The management company was ver responsive. The drain in the master shower was very slow, they had a tech out same day to fix it. On a later date, a tech showed up, unannounced & didn’t introduce himself, or say he was there to work. My girls were playing in the sand & suddenly there was a random dude in our yard next to them. It was a little jolting, my momma bear senses were on high alert. He fixed some boards in the walkway to the outside shower & left.

I would not recommend this property to a friend at this time. I would not stay here again. The swaying needs to be addressed. It is more unnerving than it actually is a problem structurally, but when you feel it, it’s hard to be rational about it, emotions take over. Also, the hurricane brackets are all rusted under the house, so in severe weather, this house might not be safe.

As far as things to do near the house, the sky is the limit. The location is great. We rode jet skis, went on a dolphin tour, enjoyed time in town, spent days at the beach, searched for crabs at night, wine on an alligator airboat tour, road the car ferry to dauphin island & more. Much fun was had by all.

This is the first year Lotus Blossom has been in our rental program so the comments are especially helpful. We will review the listing and photos and continue to work with the owner on updates and improvements. It is not our policy to have members of our maintenance staff show up unannounced so we will definitely look into that. Regarding the swaying, in general, all homes built on pilings will sway if there are wind gusts. Some you feel more than others, but it is a common occurrence.
