The Stick House

This is a small house with enough parking underneath for 3-4 cars. There is a small pier on the lagoon readily available and in close proximity to the house. We like this location as it is usually quiet and away from the chaos and traffic, but you can get to the central area to shop or eat in 10-15 mins. The beds and pillows could be more comfortable, but were adequate.

The location was perfect. Close walk to the beach and the private pier was great for fishing. I loved the swing under the house. The only issue was the cleanliness of the house. The kitchen could use a deep clean. There was a lot that was not clean in the kitchen. Very disappointed with that.

We have stayed in this neighborhood before and really enjoy hiw oeaceful it is and how much you miss out on the hassle of the spring break crowd. Location is perfect for our family. Overall the house was great.

Great location. Great space in the house . Just needs a little TLC . The sliding door on the back needs to be replaced so you could enjoy the view from inside .. needs outdoor furniture. And black out curtains in the master bedroom..

This was our first time visiting this area. It wasn’t disappointing. So much to do. Loved the biking trails in the nearby State park. Plus miles of beach within walking distance. The house is older, but comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped. We had internet issues and the staff was very responsive. We hope to visit again.

This house has a great location overlooking the bay and about .25 mile walk to the beach. House is well taken care of and kitchen is stocked well.

The house was great plenty of room for our party of 7. We experienced no major problems with the house, other than the pool was still closed and the wifi had no internet service. Neither of those things hurt our stay though. We had a great time and and would recommend this property to anyone looking for a reasonable priced home for their stay, We will definitely will try to book the Stick House for our future stays now.

Good place to stay not far from the beach. There was not a lot of traffic and not far from everything.The beds were worn out. Parking was tight

We enjoyed our stay at the Stick House in Gulf Shores, AL. The management team was easy to work when problems arose. When we arrived, a new A/C unit was being installed. The technicians stayed until the work was completed about 7:00 pm. The only disappointment we had was the pool not being in service yet, but that was not the fault of the management team nor the homeowner. It was just hard for our family to look out the back windows at the beautiful pool and being unable to use it. It was very peaceful being able to sit on the back deck and look out over Little Lagoon. We even got to meet neighbors up the road who are now full-timers in the community.

It was the first time we had ever stayed in a condo and I have to say, it was wonderful!!! The house was beautiful and Mrs. DeLayne made sure that we had what was needed. Will definitely do it again.

House was nice and just what add said ... we felt at home and fished and kayaked and fished some more ... Several good fish were caught at the cut .. only thing is the house needs deep cleaning ... otherwise neighborhood was nice :)Good distance to places all around us ...

The house was incredibly clean upon arrival. We were right on the Lagoon and the area was clean and quiet for the most part. Our neighbors unfortunately had zero respect in the evening. That's not something that could have been avoided especially during the Summer. I do wish the dock was private, but it is something that is stated in the info therefore it wasn't a surprise. The AC worked excellently. We had very little issues overall. The workers on the pool were very respectful. The beds were stiff and uncomfortable. I'm sure some might prefer that so it's more a matter of opinion. I had to place a pillow between the headboard and wall in one of the rooms otherwise it was hitting the wall every time we barely moved. The fridge was a bit odd as things in the fridge part began to freeze while the freezer took an excessive time to freeze things. I was concerned with my insulin and therefore kept it out during our stay. The property owners weren't difficult at all to get a hold of and were quick to answer any questions/concerns. Despite rain a great deal of our week, we had a great time as always. As a suggestion and if you're willing to drive a bit, the Gulfarium Marine Adventure Park in Ft. Walton Beach, FL is definitely worth a visit. You get a really up close view of Dolphins and other marine life along with a great educational experience. Anglers Beachside Grill next door was a decent place to eat. They have a covered beachside patio area. There are really no major complaints. Everything was as described.

This was our first vacation as a family in several years. The house was perfect for us but the cleaning of the house was subpar, especially the kitchen and bathrooms. I did take pictures of some of the areas of concern and I was told the property manager would be informed. The house itself was great.

My stay at the stick house started off amazing! The stay was very clean and everything we needed was in the stay. The location is perfect! You have the Bay in the back of you and the beach in the front, lovely! The host was everything, promptly answering any question that I had about the reservation. We did not get three days in the stay due to communication issues between the city and the association and home owner about "pool construction"
I felt really bad for the kids it was my grand daughter's first trip to the beach and her eleventh birthday. They have been through a rough time the last few years. The workers were cold, rude, and dismissive to me, but i got pass that with a walk to the beach. Also the pool for the community was not accessible to us as advertised. We cancelled outside activities in the yard and bay. Overall i loved it with the exception of the last day. Maybe in the future we will return only this time we will be able to use the pool!
